Identification of periodic and cyclic fractional stable motions

چکیده
Self-similar stable mixed moving average processes can be related to nonsingular flows through their minimal representations. Self-similar stable mixed moving averages related to dissipative flows have been studied, as well as processes associated with identity flows which are the simplest type of conservative flows. The focus here is on self-similar stable mixed moving averages related to periodic and cyclic flows. Periodic flows are conservative flows such that each point in the space comes back to its initial position in finite time, either positive or null. The flow is cyclic if the return time is positive. Self-similar mixed moving averages are called periodic, resp. cyclic, fractional stable motions if their minimal representations are generated by periodic, resp. cyclic, flows. These processes, however, are often defined by a nonminimal representation. We provide a way to detect whether they are periodic or cyclic even if their representation is nonminimal. By using these identification results, we obtain a more refined decomposition of self-similar mixed moving averages.

Integral representations of periodic and cyclic fractional stable motions
Stable non-Gaussian self-similar mixed moving averages can be decomposed into several components. Two of these are the periodic and cyclic fractional stable motions which are the subject of this study. We focus on the structure of their integral representations and show that the periodic fractional stable motions have, in fact, a canonical representation. We study several examples and discuss q...

متن کاملPeriodically correlated and multivariate symmetric stable processes related to periodic and cyclic flows
In this work we introduce and study discrete time periodically correlated stable processes and multivariate stationary stable processes related to periodic and cyclic flows. Our study involves producing a spectral representation and a spectral identification for such processes. We show that the third component of a periodically correlated stable process has a component related to a...
متن کاملAnalysis of 3D Passive Walking Including Turning Motions for the Finite-width Rimless Wheel
The focus of studies in the field of passive walking has often been on straight walking, while less attention has been paid to the field of turning motions. In this paper, the passive motions of a finite width rimless wheel as the simplest 3D model of passive biped walkers was investigated with a focus on turning motions. For this purpose, the hybrid model of the system consisting of continuous...
متن کاملPost-critical Behavior of Three- dimensional Composite Beams Near the Autoparametric Resonance under Flapwise Excitation
The bifurcation analysis of a composite beam subjected to harmonic flapwise base excitation is studied when the ratio of flapwise and chordwise internal resonances is 1:2. Results are obtained by the numerical solution of modulation equations. Chracteristics of the response are investigated in terms of time history, phase portraits diagrams and bifurcation diagram of poincare maps. It is observ...
